Position Overview
What drives you as a leader in your practice? Virginia Therapeutic Network is seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Occupational Therapist to join our team in delivering therapeutic consultation services. In this role, you’ll not only support individuals and families, but also guide and mentor other OTs, helping to shape the growth and quality of our therapeutic consultation program.

What You’ll Do
Partner with individuals, families, and caregivers to identify strengths, challenges, and meaningful goals.
Observe daily routines and environments to assess needs and create opportunities for independence and participation.
Develop and oversee consultation plans with practical recommendations for environmental modifications, adaptive equipment, and activity adaptations.
Provide direct training and hands-on coaching to caregivers, staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
Mentor and support other OTs, offering guidance on best practices and professional development.
Collaborate with the leadership team to enhance service quality, efficiency, and innovation.
Represent the OT perspective in interdisciplinary planning and ensure consistency across settings.
Document assessments, recommendations, and progress clearly and in a timely manner.
Lead or participate in service planning meetings to ensure alignment with client-centered goals.
Qualifications
Master’s or doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Active Virginia OT license in good standing.
Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, or supervisory experience.
Strong clinical skills in assessment, planning, and adaptive strategies.
Experience training and supporting caregivers and interdisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Commitment to a team-based, person-centered approach.
Preferred
Experience in therapeutic consultation, community-based, or home-based services.
Familiarity with assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications.
Knowledge of person-centered planning and strength-based approaches.
Comfort with telehealth service delivery when appropriate.

Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do

Experience with ID/DD so other cognitive disabilities
