Therapeutic consultation is provided via the consultative model, meaning that our highly trained and licensed clinicians will give caregivers the necessary tools/ skills to perform therapeutic tasks. Our clinicians do not sit down and work 1:1 with the individual through direct hands on training. Individuals do not come to an office location to receive their therapy service. Our clinicians meet the care teams where support is needed, whether that be in the home or residential placement, at a day support, at their workplace, or out in the community, we will be there to support you!

Each program we offer has a unique pay structure. This will be discussed during the introductory meeting.

Therapeutic Consultation is a service covered by the FIS and CL Medicaid Waivers at 100%.

Individual & Family/Caregiver Training is covered by the FIS Medicaid Waiver at 100%.

School Consultation is a unique contract drafted for the specific needs of the school. Please inquire for our service and package list at admin@vatherapeutic.net

CEU events are free in-person networking and learning events for local Virginia clinicians.

Each TC services is tailored to your specific and unique needs, however you may be a good fit for services if you find that you need support in any of the following areas:

Behavioral: If your behaviors interfere with you living the life you want for yourself; If your behaviors interfere with the relationships you have with those around you; If you experience limited or no motivation to complete daily tasks; If your behaviors put you or others at risk of harm or victimization.

Occupational: If you have difficulty completing care routines; If you have difficulty with processing sensory information or demonstrate sensory defensiveness; If you are experiencing a decrease in fine and gross motor movements and activities.

Physical: If you have difficulty ambulating your environment; If you have difficulty completing tasks and activities requiring strength, flexibility, or balance; If you experience difficulty with transitions to and from beds, chairs, wheelchairs, sitting, or other movements.

Recreational: If you have difficulty finding things to do without others guiding you; If you have limited interests in things to do at home and/or in the community; If you are unmotivated to complete monotonous tasks around the home and community.

Speech: If you are have difficulty being understood by familiar and unfamiliar communication partners; If you are unable to get your wants/needs met through your preferred mode of communication; If you are in need of an AAC device evaluation and training; If you would benefit from articulation training to be better understood by others; If you experience difficulty swallowing.
