Annual Adult Clinical Skills Workshop

VATN’s annual Adult Clinical Skills Workshop is a focused, hands-on training event designed for professionals who support autistic and ID/DD adults. Each year, we bring together clinicians, supervisors, and direct support leaders to sharpen assessment, intervention, and collaboration skills through case examples, practice-based learning, and guided discussion. The workshop emphasizes practical tools participants can use immediately in their own settings, while also fostering a shared commitment to person-centered, trauma-informed care.

Workshops with VATN

VATN’s Adult Clinical Skills Workshop is designed specifically for professionals who support autistic and ID/DD adults, a group that is often underserved in traditional trainings. Instead of broad, one-size-fits-all content, we focus on practical, real-world skills practitioners can use right away—like assessing support needs in adult settings, tailoring interventions for complex histories, and working effectively with teams and families. Through interactive, case-based learning, participants leave with concrete tools, scripts, and strategies that build confidence and improve day-to-day care for the adults they serve.
