Brews & CEUs at VATN

Monthly In-Person Event

Our in-person Brews & CEUs at The Veil in Forest Hill is designed to build a strong local clinical community, not just provide credit hours. Meeting face to face gives clinicians space to share real cases, swap resources, and problem-solve together in a relaxed, low-pressure environment. The casual brewery setting makes it easier to connect across roles and agencies, helping break down silos between outpatient providers, residential teams, schools, and community organizations. Over time, these recurring meetups create a familiar network of colleagues you can call, consult with, and collaborate alongside—ultimately strengthening the support available to autistic and ID/DD individuals and their families in the Richmond area.

Monthly Online Event

Online CEU events are an important way to expand access to quality learning for busy practitioners. They allow clinicians to hear from speakers across the country—people they might never be able to see in person—bringing a wider range of expertise, perspectives, and specialties directly to their screen. With the convenience of logging in from home, the office, or between appointments, practitioners can fit professional development into real life without travel time or added costs. This flexibility helps more people stay current, connected, and skilled, ultimately improving the support available to the autistic and ID/DD adults and families they serve.

Brews & CEUs

In-Person

VATN’s Brews & CEUs series offers two flexible ways to learn and connect. Our free monthly in‑person Brews & CEUs is hosted at The Veil Brewing Co. in Forest Hill, where practitioners can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, hear from guest speakers, and earn CEUs while networking with peers.

Online

For those who prefer to join from anywhere, we also offer a free monthly online CEU session featuring rotating speakers from across the U.S., with recordings available for purchase afterward through our online CEU library so you can learn on your own schedule.

CEU Library

Our on-demand CEU library gives practitioners flexible access to high-quality trainings whenever it works best for their schedule. With a growing collection of recorded sessions from experienced speakers, you can revisit favorite topics, catch up on events you missed, and integrate ongoing learning into your regular practice.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Brews & CEUs?

Brews & CEUs is an original idea created by VATN’s founders to bring clinicians back together in relaxed social settings to network, learn, and help minimize the divide in our clinical community. It’s a space to build relationships, share ideas, and earn continuing education at the same time.

Where does Brews & CEUs take place?

Our in-person Brews & CEUs events are held at The Veil Brewing Co. in the Forest Hill area of Richmond, VA. We also host monthly virtual Brews & CEUs sessions that you can attend remotely from wherever you are.

Do I have to pay to attend?

No. There is no fee to attend our monthly in-person or virtual Brews & CEUs events. Fees only apply if you choose to purchase CEU recordings later through our online CEU library.

How do I become a speaker?

If you’re interested in being a Brews & CEUs speaker, we’d love to hear from you. Clinicians and professionals with a clear scope of practice and experience—especially in supporting autistic and ID/DD individuals—can submit their interest, a brief bio, and a proposed topic outline using our contact email: admin@vatherapeutic.net or interest form on the events page. Our team reviews submissions on an ongoing basis to ensure a good fit with our audience and will follow up with next steps and potential dates if there’s a match.
